A keyless clarinet in Bd.

Warning this is still a prototype

Although a woodwind instrument may seem easy to design, making one that actually works is not, and aking a good one is very difficult. This clarinet is therefore a working model, but it is not yet a good instrument.

This project has already gone through 13 design iterations, with 4 printed versions, and this is the first one that plays reliably. There is still significant work ahead to improve tuning, resonance, and overall playability. Some notes are less resonant, and tonal consistency across the range still needs refinement.

What you get today is a working printed body, which forms the foundation of the instrument, but not a working instrument, for that you'll need a few things :

1. A standard clarinet mouthpiece (None of the 3d printed I tried were good enough, you could make a sound with them but were really hard to play, I still need to design one that would satisfy me)
2. A ligature (3D printing works very well here. I used this one  from petropole and it worked perfectly)
3. A reed (at this stage, a good reed cannot realistically be 3D printed).

I was asked to do an A1 mini profile. So i delivered but with a limitation as in this design i couldn't really fit another tenon between the holes, so a bit of gluing will be required. There is some connectors to help you align the whole thing.
