Modelo 3D Membrane Clarinet minor scale por LöWa no MakerWorld

Descrição

Here is a video of how it sounds and plays - link

This is a minor scale version of my pervious model, that is B major scale and can be found here - [https://makerworld.com/models/2138682](https://makerworld.com/models/2138682)

This instrument needs just 25 grams to print and takes about an hour of print time. No glue or rubberbands are needed for this to function. Only things you need are printed parts and a small piece of plastic bag.

Instrument has 7 holes (6 in front + 1 thumb hole), plays a B minor scale and It is not loud.

This instrument is experimental, so might not work perfectly in every case. If something doesn't work feel free to ask me questions in the comments, I will try my best to help.

NOTE: It should print fine without a brim on a clean build plate, but if you often have problems with bed adhesion use print profile with added brim!

INSTRUCTIONS:

Bottom of the instrument is a part with a single hole. Top is a short part with no holes.

For membrane you need a piece of a plastic bag. Different types of bags can be used, but they all sound and behave slightly differently. I recomend trying out multiple different bags, to see which one works better. Regular cheap plastic bag from a supermarket work fine, but thicker bags are recomended.

Note, you don't have to apply the membrane while instrument is disassembled, but it can make the process a bit easier.

Cut a piece of plastic bag larger then the head of the instrument and put it on top.

Put the ring on top and press it on, while holding it parrallel to the part. You don't need to put the ring all the way down for all types of bags. For thin bags pushing the ring all the way in works better, for thicker bags it might not be needed. If doing it with one hand is too fiddly, you can do it with two hands like shown on gif below.

Assembled it should look like this

Check with a tuner if a tuner if it plays note B both with all holes open and withh all holes closed. If it doesn't play B push the ring further down or gently pull on the corners of the plastic bag piece to increase tension. If it plays B, you can now trim the excess, to make it look nicer while you play :)

Note that membrane does stretch overtime and will need reapplying after some time!

Notes are a B minor scale

Hope you like it and have fun playing :)
