This is a fully customizable rectangular gift & storage box, designed as part of my parametric Gift & Storage Box system.

The model is built in OpenSCAD, allowing you to easily adjust dimensions, wall thickness, lid fit, corner rounding, and decorative text or heart symbols — all without modifying the code manually.

Perfect for:

🔧 How to customize (OpenSCAD parameters)

All customization is done via the OpenSCAD parameter panel.

📐 Geometry & dimensions

• inner width x / inner width y
  Internal dimensions of the box (length × width).
• box height
  Internal height of the box (without the lid).
• wall
  Wall thickness of the box.
• bottom thickness
  Thickness of the bottom plate.
• corner radius
  Rounding of the box corners.
• clearance
  Tolerance between box and lid (increase if your lid is too tight). 0.135 to 0.15 mm works the best for me.

📏 Lid & bevels

• lid height
  Height of the lid walls.
• box bevel height
  Bevel (chamfer) height on the box top edge.
• lid bevel height
  Bevel (chamfer) height on the lid edge.

✏️ Text customization (optional)

• text enable
  Turn engraved text on or off.
• text line 1 / text line 2
  Custom text engraved on the lid.
• text font size
  Size of the engraved text.
• text engrave depth
  Depth of text engraving.
• text font name
  Any OpenSCAD-available font (example: Georgia:style=Bold).
• text line spacing factor
  Vertical spacing between text lines.

  Enable or disable heart symbols.

  Single or double heart layout.

  Size of the heart symbol.
• heart engrave depth
  Engraving depth of the hearts.

  Horizontal offset of the hearts.

  Vertical offset of the hearts.

⚙️ Export

• export mode
  Choose whether you export the box,  lid, text, or heart (for multicolor print you will have to export all component files separately)

🖨️ Printing notes

• No supports required
• Prints cleanly in PLA, PETG, or similar materials
• Adjust clearance if your printer needs more or less tolerance
• Lid and box are designed for reliable friction fit
• For multicolor prints

1. Import both STL files simultaneously into BambuStudio

   

2. Click “Yes” to “Load these files as a single object with multiple parts?”
3. Assign different filaments to:
   • lid
   • text
   • heart
4. Slice and print
