I know that it looks like this thing takes a bunch of time and plates, but that's because I've included two versions! One version is all white so that you can choose your own Easter colors or paint them using Bambu Studio paint feature. If you go this route, it fits on an A1 plate perfectly! There are 3 plates of colored eggs. The results can be seen in the print pictures. There is one plate with a colored stem, topper, and base. However you decide to print this, you need 23 propellers, one stem, and one topper.
For my “painted” egg model (white stem and striped topper) I used Bambu matte filaments on a smooth PEI plate.
For the rainbow colored egg models, I printed the propellers in batches using Rainbow Candy filament by Flashforge. If you're using a color change filament I highly recommend printing a few propellers at a time so that you can get different colored tops.

A couple of tips:
- Good bed adhesion is important for this print. I recommend using a smooth PEI plate or effects plate.
- The propellers and stem can warp if there is a draft or poor bed adhesion. This will cause them to not spin properly. Please check your propellers BEFORE you glue anything.
- Depending on the filament you use, and how accurate your printer is, you might need to use a de-burring tool or sand paper to slightly shave down the stem where the propellers rest.
- If your filament is stringy due to humidity (or poor quality) you'll need to use a round file to smooth out the grooves for the stem and propellers.
- You'll need to use a drop of glue to attach the heart topper. DO NOT get any glue on the top propeller.
- Make sure to leave about a paper width of space between the top propeller and the topper. If you don't, it won't spin.
- If there is too much space (more than 2mm) between the topper and the cap, try loading them on the other end of the stick. Too much space between the topper and the propellers can lead to improper spin and breakage.
- I have added a brim to the stem to help with bed adhesion.
- There are 23 propellers, but they are all the same size, so order doesn't matter. If it doesn't spin with them all loaded, remove just one of the propellers.
- Due to humidity, machine accuracy and tolerances, and filament brand, you might find the need to add or remove a propeller to get this toy to work properly.
