The Ultimate Parametric Charging Station is here!

This fully parameter-based modular phone/accessory charging station allows you to charge any phone and case, plus any accessories. Due to the documented (below) accessory rail system, you may create your own accessories as you see fit. With MakerWorld's built-in MakerLab parametric model tool, you can enter your phone's dimensions and a functional model will be generated. It takes just 5 minutes!

Using Preset Bases

If available (depending on phone model), you can use a preset to generate a base without taking measurements. Simply find your phone model, and if you want it to fit your phone case, change the phone_tolerance value to your case's thickness + 0.5 mm.

To manually generate a model, you will need the following dimensions (in mm):

• Your phone's length (charging port to top): phone_length
• Your phone's width: phone_width
• The distance between the bottom of your phone and the start of its camera bump: length_to_camera_bump
• The radius of your phone's (outer) corners: phone_corner_radius
• Your phone's thickness (excluding camera bump): phone_thickness
• The desired tolerance between your phone and the base (0.5 mm recommended): phone_tolerance
• Your (full-size) MagSafe puck's diameter (default fits Apple's): magsafe_puck_diameter
• Your (full-size) MagSafe puck's thickness (default fits Apple's): magsafe_puck_thickness
• Your (small) MagSafe puck's diameter (default fits Apple's): aw_magsafe_puck_diameter

Then just hit generate, and you're good to go! This model is optimized for a lower amount of material usage, while remaining stable when moving and picking up your phone/accessories. The preset for an iPhone 15 Pro (with my case model) uses only ~134 g of PLA and 0.5 g of support material.

Accessory Rails (Requires basic CAD software experience)

The last image is of the correct dimensions for the prongs of the rail system. To make an accessory, you simply need to copy those dimensions and mirror the profile so that they are spaced 11 mm apart from their centers (or 5.5 mm profile center to origin). Then, just extrude through your part. The part will now be able to connect to the base in multiple orientations.
