This model was specifically designed to evaluate the performance of support filament for PLA/PETG applications, with a focus on support interface quality and post-print surface finish.

The geometry intentionally incorporates overhangs and supported regions that require consistent and well-defined support structures. For this test, the Support/Raft Interface was printed using a dedicated PLA/PETG support filament, while the Support/Raft Base was printed using the same material as the main part, PLA Matte. This material combination was selected to assess compatibility, adhesion behavior, and separation quality between the support interface and the printed part.

The slicing setup ensures that the support interface is the primary contact layer with the model, allowing a direct evaluation of how cleanly the support filament performs at the interface level. The uploaded backside images clearly show the supported surface after support removal, demonstrating a smooth and uniform finish with minimal scarring or material residue.

The results confirm that the PLA/PETG support filament performs very well when used as a support/raft interface in combination with a PLA Matte support base. The supported layers released cleanly and maintained good dimensional and surface quality.

This model serves as a practical benchmark for testing support filaments intended for PLA and PETG prints, particularly in scenarios requiring clean undersides and reliable support removal.
