Modelo 3D MPLAB Snap Case por Thepilot7 no MakerWorld

Descrição

MPLAB Snap Debugger – Simple & Solid 3D‑Printed Case

I had been looking for a proper case for the MPLAB Snap debugger for a while, but none of the models I found really convinced me. Some were overly complex, others didn’t fit well, and overall there weren’t many options available. So I decided to design my own: a simple, sturdy, screw‑less case that prints cleanly and protects the board while still allowing access to the jumper.

This model consists of four very simple pieces, requires no screws or glue, and can be opened whenever you need to adjust the jumper on the board. Printed on a Bambu Lab A1 using the default 0.16 mm High Quality profile.

Features

  • 4‑piece design: base, USB‑side cover, pin‑side cover, and optional locker.
  • No screws, glue, or special hardware needed.
  • Secure sliding‑rail mechanism with an audible click when each cover locks in place.
  • Tight, stable fit to prevent the board from moving inside the case.
  • Easy to open for jumper access.
  • Optional locking tab depending on print tolerances.

Assembly Instructions

1. Place the board on the base

Position the MPLAB Snap on the printed base. It should sit naturally in place without force.

2. Slide in the USB‑side cover

Insert the cover from the USB side and slide it along the rail until you hear a click. This locks the first half of the case.

3. Slide in the pin‑side cover (with extra care)

Now insert the cover on the side of the programming pins. The slot for the pins is intentionally tight so the board cannot move inside the case. Because of this, take your time and align the pins carefully before sliding the cover in. Push gently until you hear the second click.

4. Insert the optional locker

If your prints have a bit of play or you simply want both covers fully secured, insert the small locker piece into the slot designed for it. This step is optional and depends on your printer tolerances and how snugly the covers fit.

Printing Notes

  • Printed on Bambu Lab A1
  • Profile: 0.16 mm High Quality (default)
  • Filament: Sunlu Matte Orange
  • No supports needed
  • No post‑processing required

If this design worked well for you…

I’d really appreciate it if you could give it a
