This is a precision-designed shifter extension for the MOZA AB9 Active Shifter, compatible with both sequential and traditional shift knobs.

The extension increases the effective lever length, making the sequential shifter longer, faster to grab, and significantly more comfortable during aggressive rally driving, where every fraction of a second matters. The longer throw improves ergonomics and control, especially in dynamic situations requiring rapid, repeated gear changes.

The model features a tight-fit design that mounts securely and cleanly, without visual deviation from the original MOZA components. The geometry was refined over four design iterations, with the explicit goal of maximizing mechanical strength. The final version is hyper-durable and safe to print even in PLA, without sacrificing reliability.

Reinforcement Options (Recommended)

For additional mechanical strength, the model allows optional internal reinforcement:

• Bottom reinforcement:
  • Metric screw M6x1, maximum length 12 mm
  • Recommended length: 10 mm
• Top reinforcement:
  • Wood screw, maximum length 8 mm (recommended)
  • Pilot hole diameter: 3.33 mm
  • The screw is designed to bite directly into the printed walls

These reinforcements are optional but strongly recommended for maximum longevity and rigidity.

Testing & Validation

The extension has been extensively tested in real use:

• ~50 hours in DiRT Rally 2.0
• ~30 hours in EA WRC
• Over 80 total driving hours
• Used by 10+ different drivers
• Multiple competitive and casual rally sessions

After all tests, the part shows no structural degradation and passed durability testing without failure.

Decorative Detail Note:

The silver accents visible in the photos are made from aluminum foil cut from a potato chips bag.
To visually match the original MOZA components, the recommended strip width is approximately 2.2 mm, which fits the design proportions and aligns cleanly with the stock parts.
