Gridfinity USB Insert – USB-A / USB-C (Fully Parametric)

A highly configurable Gridfinity-compatible USB holder designed for clean organization of USB-A and USB-C cables, adapters, and devices.
Built on gridfinity-rebuilt, this model offers precise fit control, per-row configuration, and automatic layout safety checks.

USB Fit Presets

Choose how tight the USB connectors should fit:

• Tight – Minimal clearance, snug fit
• Normal – Recommended default for most printers
• Loose – Easier insertion and removal
• Custom – Manual clearance via TOL parameter

This allows easy tuning for different printers, materials, or tolerances.

Row Configuration Logic

• ROWS defines the maximum number of rows
• Each row has its own ROWx_TYPE parameter:
  • 0 = USB-A only
  • 1 = USB-C only
  • 2 = USB-A + USB-C pair
• Rows beyond ROWS are ignored
• If AUTO_LAYOUT is enabled, rows are automatically reduced if they do not fit safely

This enables mixed layouts such as:

• Top rows with USB-A + USB-C
• Bottom rows USB-C only
• Any combination per row

This ensures visually consistent layouts even across multi-column bins.

Printing Notes

• Designed for FDM printing
• Recommended:
  • Layer height: 0.2 mm
  • 3+ perimeters
  • No supports required
• USB openings are optimized for clean bridging and chamfered insertion
