Description
Broom Handle Holder v3
This is a complete redesign of version 2, while retaining its print-in-place functionality. The hinge system has been entirely overhauled, unnecessary parts have been eliminated, and the mounting holes have been repositioned. These improvements result in tighter tolerances, leading to a sturdier and sleeker final product.
Additionally, a new feature allows the use of TPU plugs to cover holes in the jaw, providing enhanced grip for the handle.
The long-term goal is to provide a parametric version of the design file, allowing users to customize the product to meet specific needs and applications like the diameter of the jaw, the height of the holder.
Print profile:
You will find 12 plates in the print profile, 6 for the holder with different diameter ranging from 19 to 36 mm and 6 for their plugs
- Plate 1 contains 1 holder Ø20 for handle Ø19-21
- Plate 3 contains 1 holder Ø22 for handle Ø22-24
- Plate 5 contains 1 holder Ø25 for handle Ø25-27
- Plate 7 contains 1 holder Ø28 for handle Ø28-29
- Plate 9 contains 1 holder Ø31 for handle Ø31-23
- Plate 11 contains 1 holder Ø34 for handle Ø34-36
To assemble:
- Position the broom holder
- Use screws in the counterbore hole, tighten them with a screwdriver through the fronts holes
- Optionally, print the buttons for your chosen diameter in TPU. They will plug the holes in the jaw and provide friction and keep the handle from sliding.
Also you can use double sided tape like 3M VHB for screwless mounting.
