Here are 13 chore chart magnets that I created to help my husband and I keep track of chores completed around the house. We have tried lots of different chore tracking systems, and this one has by far been the easiest to use. Each magnet represents a type of household chore (tshirt = laundry, for example). We purchased a calendar whiteboard from the dollarstore, and we place the corresponding chore magnet to the one we completed on the day we did it! This not only helps us to see whose turn it is for the next time the chore needs to be done, but also to see when we last vacuumed, for example. The magnets would also work great for a family to keep track of chores or to indicate which chores should be done on which days and by whom.
Feel free to add your initial on top of the model in the Bambu Studio to indicate who the person who is completing that chore. Our initials extrude 1mm, which makes them easier to read.
For our household, the number of magnets that I printed depended on the frequency of chore completion in a month. Here is the amount of magnets I printed per person in our household:
- Dishes x9
- Recycling x2
- Bathrooms x2
- Trash x3
- Garbage Bins x3
- Laundry x3
- Groceries x3
- Dinner x6
- Mop x2
- Dust x1
- Kitchen Clean x5
- Vacuum x2
You can print these without support, as the bridging is minimal with the magnet cut outs.
The 3D models are made for magnets that are 6mm x 3mm. The hole for the magnet measures 6.1mm in radius and is 3.1mm in depth. You shouldn't have to use any glue to hold the magnets in place, although the fit is rather snug. I had to use a cylinder to gently force the magnet into the model on assembly (the handle end of a screwdriver should work great).
