Modelo 3D AMS Lite Wall Mount por Lidas no MakerWorld

Descrição

This wall mount for the AMS Lite is designed to place the AMS in a similar position as the Top Mount by Bambu Lab, but without adding weight and wobbliness to the printer itself. The mounting bracket tilts the AMS unit forward by 15 degrees for easier access to the rear filament spools.

The wall mount is designed to be printed without supports in one piece, and it uses around half the amount of filament as the Bambu Lab Top Mount (with stabilizing feet). The 3MF-file is pre-oriented and has modifiers applied which add some extra strength behind the wall mounting holes as well as on the bracket for the AMS Lite.

The total weight of the AMS Lite (without stand) and 4 full rolls of filament is around 6.7 kg. I have tested the wall mount (printed in PLA) by hanging 12.5 kg from it (almost twice the weight it should be subjected to during use) and it showed no signs of failure. Even then, I have no data on extended use and or/the materials and mounting hardware others may use - ALL USE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

There are some small bridging sections inside the holes for the wall mounting screws, but during testing these printed fine without supports.

Unfortunately, due to the size of the model, it will not fit on the print bed of an A1 Mini.

PLACEMENT BEHIND A1 PRINTER (also see images)

The optimal height (from the table to the bottom edge of the mount) is 41 cm. I highly suggest you stick to this measurement. This ensures clearance when changing spools and that the PTFE-tubes are not over-stretched.

If mounted close to a wall corner, keep a space of 24 cm from the closest edge of the mount to the corner to leave some clearance for the spools and accessibility when changing them.

I don’t have access to an A1 Mini therefore I can’t say with certainty if the height placement changes for that printer.

MOUNTING (also see images)

Fasten the wall mount to the wall before attaching the AMS unit, as the other way around makes it really hard to access all the mounting holes for the wall.

The holes for the screws (not the head) are 5 mm in diameter. The head of the screw or any washers used must not exceed 12,5 mm in diameter as the recessed holes are 12.7 mm (see images).

I suggest using flat-headed mounting screws with a width (of the threaded part) of max 4,5 mm and a length suitable for your wall material. Remember to account for the thickness of the mount (10 mm) when choosing length.

Be careful not to overtighten the wall screws. I suggest tightening the last part by hand.

If you want to take some additional strain off of the PTFE-tubes you can print the two pieces that go on top of the AMS Lite unit from the Bambu Labs Top Mount files: [https://makerworld.com/sv/models/92486-ams-lite-top-mount-for-a1?from=search#profileId-100105](https://makerworld.com/sv/models/92486-ams-lite-top-mount-for-a1?from=search#profileId-100105)

I cut down the rear piece in the slicer to the same height as the front one as it was so tall it added too much tension to one of the PTFE-tubes.
