I am redoing a lot of my Pegboard in the garage with Multiboard ([https://multiboard.io](https://multiboard.io)). I wanted something flexible so I could setup as many or few drivers or bits that I could use (keeping Torx separate from standard, etc.). You can even, go with a single large hole to hold hammers, or other large handled tools.
Besides Multiboard, I also have code for OpenGRID, HSW and screw mounts, so I made that selectable.
So you can select a mount type from the following
- OpenGrid Lite ([https://makerworld.com/en/models/1175037-underware-for-opengrid?from=search#profileId-1195039](https://makerworld.com/en/models/1175037-underware-for-opengrid?from=search#profileId-1195039))
- OpenGrid Full
- Screws (#8 Flatheads).
- HSW Horizontal ([https://makerworld.com/en/models/22521-honeycomb-storage-wall?from=search#profileId-27457](https://makerworld.com/en/models/22521-honeycomb-storage-wall?from=search#profileId-27457))
- Multiboard SNAP ([https://www.multiboard.io](https://www.multiboard.io))
- Multiboard Screw (check the .3mp project for provided screws)
- Multiconnect - Multiboard (New!!!)
- Multiconnect - OpenGrid (New!!!)
- Pegboard Mount (need the thin Multiboard pegboard clicks [https://thangs.com/designer/Multiboard/3d-model/Pegboard%20Click%20-%20Lite%20Multipoint%20Rail%20%28Folded%29-1368649](https://thangs.com/designer/Multiboard/3d-model/Pegboard%20Click%20-%20Lite%20Multipoint%20Rail%20%28Folded%29-1368649))
Also a thanx to BlackJackDuck ([https://www.printables.com/model/1002471-multiboard-snap-backer-generator-parametric/files](https://www.printables.com/model/1002471-multiboard-snap-backer-generator-parametric/files)), that provided the OpenSCAD for the Multiboard Snaps.
If I missed anyone please let me know and I will update the text.
There are two configurations, either row by or as a wedge were each row forward is one less that the previous.
Parameters:
- Mount Type - Explained above
- Pattern - Standard (holes lined up in each row) or Triangle (Wedge)
- Num of Holes - how many holes across the back row (closest to back panel).
- Num of Rows - 1 to 5, note be careful here, to many rows and distance can place to much torque on SNAP.
- Left/Right to Center - Distance (mm) between left or right side to center of first hole.
- Front/Rear to Center - Distance (mm) between front or rear to center of holes in the row.
- Center to Center - Distance (mm) between centers of the holes in the row.
- Block Height - How tall (mm) the row bock will be, each row is stepped based this. Example: 60mm/3rows, back row 60, row 2 - 40mm, row 3 - 20mm.
- Hole Dia - Hole Diameter (mm), not there is no built in slot, you will want to add some variance in.
- Hole Chamfer - Diagonal cut (mm) around the hole, to better sit some items, like precision screw drivers.
- Hole Depth - How deep is the hole (mm), 0 mean s it goes all the way through. Note, depending on the block height, the front holes may not have a bottom. Take that into account when setting Block Height.
- Back Plate Thickness - How thick (mm) to make the back plate for additional strength. This does not include the SNAPs.
- Edge Chamfer - Radius (mm) to round all outside edges. Note: if this is to large compared to Back Plate, it may generate and error.
I hope you can use it.
One future enhancement is being able to notch the front of the hole, to be abled to lift the tool out without having a higher clearance. It will only be for single rows models.
02/24/26 - Added additional mounts to the mix, not have Multiconnect, so you don't have to use snaps, also can now do standard Pegboards.
