The Modular Parametric Shelf is a fully customizable 3D-printable shelving system designed for maximum flexibility, strength, and efficient material use. Built from four parametric core components, it allows you to create an endless variety of shelf configurations perfectly tailored to your space.
Every dimension, thickness, and honeycomb structure can be adjusted directly in the Makerworld configurator, giving you full control over strength, weight, and appearance.
Core Parametric Components (Default Values)
1. Legs / Supports
Adjustable height, diameter, and internal cutouts for screws or connectors.
- Height: 50 mm

- Internal cutout diameter: 2.5 mm
- Partial cutout height: 8 mm
2. Top Covers
Clean finishing plugs with customizable parameters.
- Height: 8 mm

3. Bottom Plates
Fully configurable base plates with integrated screw posts.
- Length: 100 mm
- Width: 70 mm

4. Main Plates
Lightweight yet strong shelves with customizable honeycomb structure.

⚠️ Important Printing Notice
The design features a tight tolerance of 0.1 mm.
- Fitment depends heavily on your printer's calibration.
- If the parts are too tight, you may need to use a drill to slightly enlarge the holes or adjust "Hole Horizontal Expansion" (XY hole compensation) in your slicer before printing.
- If the fit is too loose, a drop of glue can be used (though it is designed to work without it).
Parts List:
- Main Platform (min. 1 pc) – The surface for displaying your items.
- Legs (min. 4 pcs) – Feature a pin on top and a hole at the bottom (for connecting to the base or stacking).
- Bottom Plate / Frame (Optional, highly recommended) – Greatly improves stability.
- Caps (Optional) – Aesthetic caps to cover the top pins if you are not stacking another level.
Assembly Instructions
- Prepare the Base: If you printed the bottom frame, place it on a flat surface. Insert the 4 legs into it (hole facing down, pin facing up).
- Mount the Platform: Place the main honeycomb platform onto the leg pins. Press down evenly.
- Finish:
- Option A (Single Stand): Place the caps on the protruding top pins for a clean look.
- Option B (Tower): Instead of caps, insert another set of legs into the top pins to build a second level!
