I built this system after buying my 9-year-old son an A1 Mini. We were battling constant filament feeding issues when using the eBox — especially after filament changes.
This setup locks everything into a consistent, optimised position so nothing ever gets misaligned. Since installing it, we’ve had zero feeding issues, and my son can swap filament confidently without worrying about tangles or jams.

The main print profile contains the ebox bases cut with a dovetail in the slicer for A1 Mini printing, if you own or have access to a larger printer, print the base as one using the second print profile.

4. “Filament Saver” Internal Guide

• A triangular insert that fits on the inside end of the eBox’s PTFE tube.
• Helps prevent internal snags and reduces tension spikes during printing.

5. Z-Axis PTFE Tube Guide

• Screws into the original rear spool-holder mounting holes using the stock screws.
• Routs straight up the back of the Z-axis & sweeps downward toward the eBox .
• Provides perfectly controlled filament pathing from dryer to extruder.

6. Upgraded Z-Axis Cap with Two PC4-M10 Ports

• Looks like the original cap, but with two connectors on the rear:
  • Downward-facing port: PTFE tube from the eBox connects here.
