Modelo 3D Pistol Grip Controller Pro por occultfullelo no MakerWorld

Descrição

This is a pistol grip controller made for CyberBrick vehicles. It features interlocking TPU, an ergonomic handle, and easy battery removal.

You can assemble the remote with a H1.5 hex driver and a small amount of glue for the magnets.

There are two options for the controller: Make one that uses the AAA battery case (XA012) or one that uses a rechargeable battery. These options are in separate print profiles.

What do I need?

All of the non-printed parts that are needed to build one controller can all be found within one CyberBrick Remote Control Kit (ZK007)

However, if you wanted to build the cyberbrick truck as well (shown in the photo), then I recommend purchasing the Beginner Hardware Kit (ZK004) and adding an Extra Rechargeable Battery Upgrade Kit (ZL003) if you wanted the rechargeable remote. All of the parts needed are listed in the assembly guides.

Using beam interlocking with TPU

This controller features a truly ergonomically-shaped handle which has interlocking 90A TPU (white) along with PLA. The shape makes it very comfortable to hold (with medium-sized hands). The TPU has a slight fuzzy skin applied to it, which makes it more grippy.

The wheel also has interlocking TPU with silk silver. By combining the TPU and PLA together, it makes assembly easier and adds grip, while making steering feel more precise. If you wanted to, you can change the materials in the slicer and print the handle or wheel from one piece of PLA (guide later).

This shows the handle being printed in both TPU and PLA Basic.
This shows the wheel being printed in both TPU and PLA Silk+ Silver.

Battery

There is a uniquely designed quick battery disconnect using magnets, which makes removing the battery for charging very easy. The cable can be unplugged easily for battery charging and there is still access to the USB-C port on the transmitter. The lid closes with a magnet as well.

The battery case is a modified version of a battery case designed by Maker's Supply (found here: [https://makerworld.com/en/models/1994977-li-battery-case#profileId-2147297](https://makerworld.com/en/models/1994977-li-battery-case#profileId-2147297)).

I added a slide and a hole for a magnet so the battery case can slide into the controller and lock into place. It is very satisfying to use. By using this case, it ensures that the wires of the battery are bent over a larger angle, which reduces strain and protects them from damage. The battery is held within the case very well.

The version with the battery case also has easily removable batteries.

How to remove TPU

If you don't want to use TPU for the handle or the wheel, you can change the material in the slicer. Here is a guide for the handle:

The remote features a rocker switch and single button switch. These are configured to the indicators and front headlights.

Guide to the print profiles

There are two options: Have a controller that uses a rechargeable battery pack or one that uses the AAA pack.

  • Controller with rechargeable battery.
  • Controller with AAA batteries.

Two A1 mini profiles were also made to make it quicker for people to print on their A1 mini. The parts were reorganised to fit the smaller plates and the TPU grips were changed to PLA.

  • Controller with rechargeable battery (A1 mini).
  • Controller with AAA batteries (A1 mini).

The final profile has higher quality meshes for every part. This is in case you have issues printing the pieces and need the higher quality meshes.

  • Higher quality meshes.

I hope you enjoy printing this model.
