  • Spacers always seem to waste a lot of material and aren't really adjustable.
• Goals
  • Minimize material usage
  • Simple system that can be adjusted to fit if need be
  • Pairs with my base design
• Results
  • A very simple system that doesn't try to fill the entire space and only spaces where need be.
  • This system also lends itself well to drawers or boxes with any atypical wall (ie, maybe there is a random step somewhere for clearance or even with a curved surface.
  • Parts are setup to be printed solid so they can be cut and sanded to fit if need be, but are also totally fine to printed at 25% infill as well.
  • Multiple shapes for different cases
    • I - this is the most basic shape that is just a line.  I limited the length of this from 1mm to 22mm but it could easily be cut up and stretched longer.
    • H-1 - is the 2nd shape and is just an H that spans 1 base unit of 42mm and runs from 22mm to 42mm for spacing length
    • H-2 - is the 2nd shape and is just an H that spans 2 base unit of 42mm (84mm total) and runs from 22mm to 42mm for spacing length.  This will let you bridge across grids if needed. 
• Assembly Notes
  • I do fine sometimes these are a little tighter, so I just give them a little tap with he back of a screwdriver or hammer and they go right in. 
• Misc Notes
  • Uploading multiple profiles of shapes and different materials.  Feel free to mix and match, each plate just has 1 size of each shape.
  • I also uploaded the step files if you need to make something custom.
