HoverFlow Tryx – Open Frame Edition
This is my second contribution to the Makerworld Challenge.
The HoverFlow Tryx combines a super compact open-frame layout, a full Tryx water-cooling system, custom wooden panels, and a floating magnetic fan that spins freely inside the open window. It’s a small but extremely detailed build that pushes the limits of compact PC design.
🔥 What makes this build special
- Extremely compact size: 272 mm × 229 mm × 459 mm
- Levitating spinning fan inside the open window
- Tryx water cooling from bottom to top
- Custom wooden frame with laser patterns
- Tight cable management → challenging but rewarding
- One of the smallest open-frame PCs without mini components
⚠️ Important Note
This build is only for large 3D printers with a laser module.
I did not create a smaller version because the frame must be very stable.
You will also need a laser for the wooden panels.
Scaling down is possible, but stability and fitting will suffer.
📦 Additional Details (short + compact)
- The wood pattern is NOT included in the 3MF.
I added all engraving directly in Bambu Studio, where the laser power levels could be set.
You can add your own patterns easily in the slicer. - The 3MF files are included as requested by Makerworld so you can make your own adjustments.
- The wood panel file is linked separately and also visible on my profile.
- For clean edges, I filed off the dark laser marks manually.
- Required right-side display:
AISHICHEN 11.26" Mini Monitor — 1920×440 IPS (HDMI + Type-C)
(reference based on your uploaded image: /mnt/data/Bildschirmfoto 2025-11-25 um 21.56.18.png) - Wiring pictures are included above so you get an idea of the internal setup.
