Draining charged fire hose is a slow, back-breaking job, so I designed a simple, tough adapter that lets any standard shop vac pull water and air out of a fire hose in seconds. This adapter threads directly onto a 3.075 x 8 hose coupling and reduces down to accept a standard 1.25-inch shop-vac nozzle. Just thread it on, connect the vac, and it immediately starts clearing the line.

The interior passage is smooth for maximum airflow, and the outer geometry is reinforced to handle rough fireground use or station work. Whether you're drying hose after training or clearing lines after a call, this adapter speeds up the entire process.
