Do you like the taste of coffee like me ???

I got a great Lelit Mara X coffee maker and an Eureka Mignon Specialita grinder. 

It delivers. But like all coffee enthusiasts I want to improve the quality of my espresso.

The challenge is repeatability. How did I make that great coffee yesterday ???

What is the correct settings for the grinder ? When is it time to stop drawing the coffee ?
What is the correct tampering pressure ?

This model takes the great Eureka Mignon to next level: grinding to exact weight.

This model consists of two parts:

  If you feel save to do SMD soldering feel free to fix the HX711 pcb.

  If not, I strongly advise to opt for the Sparcfun HX711 pcb and add an extra +5V wire.

Normally you will want to print these items:

The split base is needed for small print plates like A1 mini. The front is needed if your Eureka Mignon currently is without display. And if you want to esplore things with a dosing cup you will want to print the dosing cup scarf.

For the moment this should give you a guide on how things are put together:

(Please note: you will either use the front of your scale and the mounting frame, or just the front from this project if your scale doesn't have a display)

Very important:

- this mod may void your warranties. You can easily put your grinder back to manufacturing state but things might happen…

- when connecting the electronics DON'T TRUST CABLE COLORS of the grinder. At mine red(+) and black(-) were interchanged. Measure and use cable positions for logic, NEVER TRUST CABLE COLORS. ☺️
