Descrição
I was looking for a fully parametric storage box with a front drop, strong back wall, and customizable mounting hooks – but most models I found lacked one or more of these features. So I designed my own from scratch, with full parameter control and efficient geometry that prints cleanly even with thin walls.
This is a fully parametric wall-mounted storage box featuring a clean hexagonal pattern and complete configurability.
You can adapt the model for almost any purpose – from small desk organizers to heavy-duty workshop storage.
Everything updates automatically through the Parametric Model Maker.
📐 Fully Adjustable Dimensions
You can change all main box dimensions:
- Box_Width – total width
- Box_Depth – depth
- Box_Height – height
- Front_Drop – front wall height reduction for easier access
- Corner_R – global corner fillet radius
These parameters let you generate anything from a tiny trinket holder to a large, robust wall box.
🧱 Wall Thickness & Strength Options
- Wall_Thickness – general wall thickness
- Back_Wall_Thickness – independent thickness for the back wall
A thicker back wall is ideal when the box will hold heavier items.
It adds significant rigidity without affecting the overall shape.
🕸️ Hexagon Pattern
- Hex_Diameter – diameter of each hexagon
The hex grid automatically scales and fills the panel area while maintaining clean, even spacing.
It works great for:
- ventilation
- reducing filament usage
- modern lightweight aesthetic
🪝 Fully Parametric Mounting Hooks
The rear mounting hooks are completely adjustable:
- Hook_Width
- Hook_Height
- Hook_Thickness
- Hook_Offset_From_Side
- Hook_Offset_From_Top
- Screw_Hole_Diameter
You can customize the hook layout for different wall surfaces, screw types, or increased loading capacity.
Everything updates automatically when you modify box size.
❗ Important – parameter constraints:
Certain parameter combinations can create invalid geometry. Keep these rules in mind:
- Screw_Hole_Diameter must always be greater than Hook_Width
(the circular cutout has to be larger than the rectangle above it) - Corner_R must satisfy:
Corner_R × 2 > Box_Width and Corner_R × 2 > Box_Depth
(otherwise the rounded corners cannot be generated)
Staying within these limits ensures clean geometry and fully parametric behavior.
