Description

This tiny model uses precision-aligned repelling magnets so the cube balances on a single corner, wobbling and stabilizing like magic.
No strings, no tricks — just clean magnetic engineering.

Inspired by periodic-table elements and, of course, by my previous Inception Top Spin design, this cube combines clean geometry with a surprisingly satisfying magnetic balance effect.
It makes a perfect desk toy, science demo, or collectible display piece.

This model can stand upright, upside-down, or even on a vertical wall base.
It’s not fully levitating, but the magnetic pivot creates a smooth, zero-gravity–like illusion that looks unreal on a desk.
A simple design with an unexpectedly impressive effect.

Parts You Need

• 5× 6×3 mm round neodymium(N-35) magnets (base outer ring)
• 1× 6×2 mm round neodymium magnet (base center)
• 2× 10×2 mm round neodymium magnets (inside cube)
• 1× M2 screw — total height 9 mm (ferromagnetic) If your screw is longer, you can cut it to match the required height

🧲 Magnet Assembly (Simple Guide)

Base (6×3 mm magnets ×5|  6×2 mm magnet ×1)

• Place 5 magnets in the circle → N side UP
• Place 1 magnet in the center → S side UP

Cube (10×2 mm magnets ×2)

• Insert both magnets → N side DOWN, S side UP
• Ensure they sit flat and centered

Before Gluing

• Place the cube on the base and confirm it balances correctly.
• If it attracts instead of repelling → flip the cube magnets.
