REVISION 1 CHANGES (1-26)

-increased size of chute to prevent clogging

-improved the connection on the drawer components

  • I submitted a support ticket for this project due to getting a copy of the old version during testing. The drawers now have a dovetail/locking tabs combination to connect the two halves. The new chute is larger than the last and the discharge end has multiple steps in the bottom incline. If the file you get when downloading doesn't match, please let me know.
  • My most recent test downloaded the proper file shown in the image below

======= Version 0 =======

I have limited space for my printer and all the stuff that goes with it, so I needed a way to access the poop-chute more easily. I need to be able to redirect the scraps so they can come out the front. I designed a chute that goes into the left drawer so it can be emptied from the front of the machine.

I used the CAD files from Bambu for the base of the P1S to create the support structure. I have an AMS and accessory spool holders on my machine, so I wanted the riser to be very strong. I separated the main body into 4 corners and split the drawers into two pieces so they can fit on the P1S print bed. There's also a separate plate for decorative drawer front panels. I printed mine from red to match the rest of my printer buildout. The chute is on its own plate as well and printed great without supports for the main overhang. (You could fit the chute on one of the other plates to reduce setup time. I set it up like this in case overhang became an issue, but it turned out great.)

*raises the height 90mm (3.54in)

*colors in screenshot of model are to help separate the parts

*use super glue to connect the drawer halves together

*main body parts should slot together and only need glue if you plan on moving it a lot or your printer's tolerances are different than mine

*the holes in the side panels are for adding accessories at some point in the future. the front panels stick on using similar holes/pins
