Origin of the Time Train
After being trapped in 1885, Emmett “Doc” Brown decides to build a new time machine using the technology of the era. He starts from a steam locomotive, which he then heavily modifies thanks to his scientific knowledge and future components he had been able to study in the DeLorean before its destruction.

1. Aesthetic appearance
Maintains the shape of a classic nineteenth-century locomotive. It is decorated with futuristic elements, metallic inserts, and technological components in a “steampunk” style. It has a reinforced front end and numerous chrome finishes. It can open in some sections to reveal the internal technology.

2. Flight systems
Unlike the DeLorean, the Time Train doesn’t need roads or tracks. It is equipped with wings and thrusters that allow it to take off vertically. In flight, it resembles a gigantic hybrid vehicle between a locomotive and a spacecraft.

It uses the same flux capacitor principle as the original project. It can travel through any era by reaching the required speed (88 miles per hour), but often does so by directly using flight. It includes advanced instruments, including extremely precise temporal indicators.
