Anyone who has an Ioniq 5 has probably accidentally activated the child lock button many times. When I searched for a solution, I found Icefisher's great idea: make a cover for it. It's actually the design that spurred me to buy 3D printer, and the first thing I printed out with my new Bambu A1. It worked great! However, over time, I started feeling dissatisfied with how it looked. So I decided to make my own version, that blends in better with the trim.

When looked at from straight above, the holes look a little off center. This is intentional – I wanted the button label and the indicator light to be visible from the driver's perspective, not straight overhead. 

After printing, clean things up with a deburring tool or precision file. The button protector fits precisely into the bottom end of the control panel, and the flat edge should be lined up exactly with the piece that goes across the top of the button. I attached it with a very thin layer of silicone caulk in a few strategic spots. You can also use double-sided tape if you prefer. I decided on caulk because it can better withstand the summer heat over time. 

The main profile is meant for PLA filament. I have the dark green interior, and Bambu's PLA Matte Bone White was an almost perfect color match. I would have preferred PETG for better heat resistance, but I had this PLA filament on hand. If you want to print in PETG, use the profile I uploaded for that – the only difference is slower print speed.
