Modelo 3D BEE ART por Sanga no MakerWorld

Descrição

BEE ART was conceived to transform the body of an electric vibrating device (such as a toothbrush) into a fun tool for creating kinetic art.

The model is optimized for multi-color 3D printing, but a single-color version is also included. BEE ART is designed to stably house the device's handle. The four holes integrated into the structure allow for the insertion of markers (with the cap on if you only wish to move the object, or without the cap for drawing). Above the holes, there are dedicated slots to store the caps, preventing them from being lost.

Upon activation of the vibration, BEE ART moves autonomously across the surface, generating dynamic abstract patterns. This is an ideal project for exploring object reuse and the principles of motion mechanics.

Assembly and Required Components

To complete your BEE ART object, you will need to print 3 pieces (Head, Body, Wings, in multicolor versions, in monocolor without wings) and acquire the following:

  • A rubber band (useful for holding the markers firmly in place if their diameter is small).
  • An electric vibrating device (e.g., standard electric toothbrush handle; tested with classic models).
  • 4 markers of your choice (e.g., Carioca Joy).

Assembly Instructions

  1. Mount the Wings: Insert the wings into the body of the bee, ensuring the printed R (Right) and L (Left) letters correspond.
  2. Insert the Device: Position the vibrating device inside the body of the bee.
  3. Secure the Head: Snap the bee's head onto the moving end of the vibrating device (a pressure fit).
  4. Add the Markers: Insert the markers into the 4 holes. If you use them without the caps for drawing, you can place the caps in the slots above the holes.
  5. Secure with Elastic: Position the rubber band near the markers to hold them steady (only if necessary).
