Disco Hook 3m Command Strip

I wanted to hang these Disco balls near my window in a place that would let the light bounce off them well. I figured when you have a 3d printer everything is a hammer. (dumb qoute)

First design is made to be flat against the wall with basic 3m command strip stickied to it and the wall.

Second design is made for the Velcro Command Strips. it has a little “kickstand” on the bottom to help with the 3.5mm thickness of the velcro strip causing a lever force. I trimmed the pull tabs on the velcro 3m strips to my liking.

The big disco ball has a radius of 100mm so this hook is 120mm off the wall to give clearance and allow the ball to spin.

Obviously this hook could be used to hang anything. anywhere. anytime.

Should consider the strength of the 3m strips. I might revise this later and add screw holes.
