Summary
Yes, it is another spool holder. The idea is taken from TUSH project by filamentry, but it is was designed from scratch and introduced couple of my own ideas to fit my own needs.
Advantages compare to original TUSH:
• Lot more vertically stable
• Does not require any gluing, soldering or use of nuts.
• Easily adjustable to size of filament spool
• Easily dissembled and reassembled.
Disadvantages compare to original TUSH:
• Can require more parts and time to print.
Even though there are more parts to print you don’t require to use them all, if you don’t want to. For example, you could just print blades and use it same as original TUSH, or you could print blade and fixture and then you will not need to glue anything and get more vertical stability, or just print everything and get full benefits of this design.
It is designed to work with cheapest Chinese 608zz bearings. It has been tested on 15cm (200g), 19cm (1kg) and 30cm (2.5) spools successfully.
TIP: For better traction to surface I have glued rubber (i used old bicycle tube, that i have cut pieces out of) to bottom of model, in some cases when you have it standing slippery surface it maybe pull away without it.
