You will see that the tip of the cable rests on the inside in it's spot and it has to be held in with a bit of hot glue. Personally I used a peppercorn size of hot glue to hold it. The cables can be routed through the back and be covered by the bottom plate, together with the cable holder.

For A1 Mini, I've oriented the parts diagonally and the bottom plate has to be cut in 2 parts, by you. I've done a dovetail cut and it works beautifully.

The side plates snap in place easily. If you find them a bit too lose, a tiny drop of any glue should hold them.
