What is this?

This is a customizable podium system which allows you to make your own configuration of linked podiums. The customization allows you set a footprint size for the podium, a height, and define any connections you want it to have. It also has some more advanced settings for the connections you can play with if you want, but the defaults should work well and have a pretty tight fit.

What do I need this for?

For my use case, I printed a 3 tier podium, 5 units wide to organize my Harney & Sons tea tins. This fits well in my kitchen cabinet and makes it very easy for me to find & get what I'm looking for. The recess in the top of the podiums keeps the tins in their place so they don't slide around and there's always room to grab what you need. Your use case might be similar, but require different sizes which is why I made this model parametric - so it can be used for many application.

Printing

Before printing, you'll want prepare all your parts. I'd recommend sketching out what you need and writing down the connection heights for each unique part. Then go generate each part & save it. Add the parts to your slicer and set up your print settings…

Print settings

There are 2 important settings you should consider changing:

1. Set the Wall generator to Arachne
   1. This will make sure any bridges across the dovetail channels will run parallel to the walls
2. Set the Order of walls to outer/inner
   1. This should give a more precise print on the outside and ensure better connections
