This parametric 3D model is designed as a solar-powered enclosure for Meshtastic/LoRa nodes, originally tailored for the Heltec T114 device and a 120x120mm solar panel

The enclosure features:

  • Battery compartment for secure power storage.
  • PCB standoffs for mounting electronics.
  • Customizable holes for antennas, cables, or sensors.
  • Adjustable trimming and inner lips for keeping the solar panel tight.

Key Adjustable Parameters

Main Box Dimensions

  • Panel_length / Panel_depth: Inner dimensions (X/Y) of the enclosure (default: 120mm).
  • Outer_height / Inner_height: Wall heights for outer and inner boxes (adjust for component clearance).

Wall & Structure

  • Wall_front / Wall_back / Wall_left / Wall_right: thicken any wall if you need a surface to attach the node to something.

Battery Compartment

  • Battery_length / Battery_depth / Battery_height: Dimensions of the battery slot.
  • Battery_offset_x / Battery_offset_y: Position adjustments relative to inner walls.

PCB Mounting

  • Pcb_post_d / Pcb_hole_d: Diameter of standoffs.
  • Pcb_post_h: Height of the standoffs.
  • Pcb_post_spacing: Distance between standoffs.
  • Pcb_offset_from_front / Pcb_offset_from_right: Positioning offsets for the PCB.

Boolean trim

  • Trim_enabled / Trim_side: Trims wall from a selected outer side.
  • Lip_enabled / Lip_inset / Lip_height: Adds an inner ledge for a finished look or to secure components.
