Descrição
original model by @Mitchell_1787495
This cherry pitter is designed for pitting pie cherries, so it is smaller than some of the other cherry pitting tools I've seen on this site.
Update 7/10/24
- Added v2. Increases the size of pitting mechanism to accommodate larger cherries & pits. Overall length, spring size and hinge remain the same.
Required hardware:
1 (stainless) steel spring. See photo #2 for some suitable springs available from my local hardware store. Approximate dimensions:
- Wire diameter: 0.8mm (0.03")
- Length: 30mm (1 3/16")
- Outer diameter: 9mm (3/8")
- Inner diameter: 7.5mm (9/32)
The spring I found in my junk drawer is 30mm in length x 7.5mm internal diameter so the spring seats are sized accordingly. I'm including the fusion 360 file so you can modify the spring seats to suit your needs. I'm still getting my sea legs in fusion 360, so unfortunately the file is not parametric.
If you are purchasing a spring, I'd recommend taking the finished print into your local hardware store and selecting a spring that fits the print and has about the right amount of springiness.
The hinge is simply a piece of filament, melted with a soldering iron on both ends to hold it in place.
