Hello guys! This is my design for a Candy Trap!
It’s a fun, fully 3D-printed Halloween candy holder that looks like a little monster — and it can bite! 👻🍬
The assembly process is quite straightforward, but I included an exploded view in the pictures.
The most important part is placing the pins correctly: they increase in length from top to bottom.
I added the nose and the eyes in a separate pieces so it could be way faster without filament change or AMS, just need 1 drop of glue on each.
I designed it so you can add and adjust a rubber band for a stronger bite, (Dont make it too strong, test first)
However, it also makes the mechanism harder to trigger. Personally, I prefer using it without the rubber band, since it becomes very sensitive to a light push on the tongue and gives a softer bite.
If you do want to add the rubber band, I’d recommend keeping it only slightly tense — not too tight.
Here you can see the main difference when using the rubber band:
➡️ Without it, you’ll need to manually push the mechanism back after triggering.

➡️ With the rubber band, you just need to open the monster’s mouth!

I hope that you liked my little project and that it can make your Halloween table even nicer!
