Wall mounted sliding socket organizer for sockets of 1/2 inch, 3/8 inch, and 1/4 inch drive.

These work great with my Stanley sockets and some random sockets laying around the garage. They should work well with most sockets.

Made to be mounted horizontally - vertically the socket mounts will fall off without modification. If people want vertical mounted I can make some adjustments but this is what I needed.

Purchased something similar before but figured it was printable.

All the ones I saw designed used TPU so I designed my own that doesn't require it.

My coworkers have been using them for a couple weeks now with great success. I have also sat around just testing pushing sockets on and pulling them off the mounts with minimal breakdown after hundreds of trys so here we go.

The design is made up of the rails and the socket mounts.

Features:

• Wall mountable - screw holes
• Modular - print as many rails or socket mounts as you need and mount side by side
• No TPU - the drive heads are split in the middle which allows them to flex enough to get the sockets on and off
  • Over time the nubs may wear down, but for testing I have mounted a socket on and off over 100 times and the fit only changed slightly near the beginning
• Socket mounts for 1/2 inch, 3/8 inch, and 1/4 inch drive
  • 1/4  inch will likely wear down the fastest but I have tested it and it seems to hold up decently well
• Prints without supports - the nubs print fine without them for all my test prints

Material:

I have printed with PLA but I would imagine PETG may even work better because of the extra bit of flex it has. So far the PLA has been working just fine. Let us know in the comments if you use with PETG.

Print Plates:

I seperated the socket mounts from the rail for printing them in different colours. 

1. The rail for the socket mounts (175mm)
2. 1/2 drive mount
3. 3/8 drive mount
4. 1/4 drive mount
5. Rail with a stopper (180mm)
