I've designed a second, parametric version of my multi-level screw organizer, which upcycles used filament boxes for storage. It’s parametric, so you can easily adjust the model to fit your specific needs.

While other printable storage systems like Gridfinity are available, this design offers several advantages. It's eco-friendly, more compact, and easier to carry than many alternatives. This new version also features a secure lid, preventing spills in the event of a drop. 

Attached print profile is for 0,25kg spool box.

Model Parameters

Width and Height (X & Y axes): These parameters determine the overall footprint of the box.

Thickness (Z-axis per level): This value sets the height for a single level. For example, if you want a total height of 48mm and plan to stack two levels, you would set the thickness for each level to 24mm.

You can create and stack multiple levels, but they must all share the same width and height settings.

Recommended Printing Profile: 

Nozzle: 0.6 mm

Line Width: 0.6 mm

Layer Height: 0.3 mm

Infill: 5% Lightning

Top Layers: 3

Bottom Layers: 2-3

Slicer Setting: Enable “Detect Thin Walls”
