Yet another polar scope alignment tool!  I just didn't find anything that would allow me to both line up the celestial pole and calibrate the phone app simultaneously.  This also has the added benefit of being perfectly aligned with the mount without having to mess with your “home” position and the RA / DEC axis'.

I use the app Polar Align Pro which is great for beginners and experts alike.  This model also supports a 90 degree for optical viewing of the celestial pole where the Polar Align app does support a “LASER / Hop Align Star” feature which requires lining up the pole optically and then calibrating the app to that location for a more accurate alignment.   It also just supports the 'ol fashioned way, lay the phone on the stand and pray to the stars the compass/GPS and angle are aligned (no really, it is quite accurate)!  This gets me close enough to be polar aligned for daytime use and @ night SharpCap can tune polar alignment the rest of way quite easily (thank you software!)
