This is a Garmin mount insert for Garmin mounts. I made this model to accompany my bike computer mount that you can find here:
A few of things that you need to be aware before (and after) printing this model.
The insert is rotated 90 degrees on the build plate in the supplied print profiles. This produces arguably slightly worse looks to the final part than if it was printed laying flat, but it is required is to achieve good structural strength that can withstand the perpendicular forces exerted on the top overhangs when mounting your bike computer:

During prototyping, I experienced horizontal layer splits when I was mounting my Garmin bike computer on the mount insert when I printed this model laying flat on the build plate. The splits happened both on PLA and ASA, so stick to the 90 degrees orientation if you make changes to the print profiles before printing.
The mount insert requires two M3x5x4 round threaded brass heat set insert nuts that must be insert in the screw holes:

I would not trust using a screw directly on FDM-3D printed plastic if this component secures my bike computer. If it's the first time you try to use heat set inserts in a 3D printed model, all you need (other than the heat set inserts themselves) is a soldering iron. Have a look here for how to install them, and ensure the top part of the heat set inserts is completely flat with your 3d printed model's surface:
- You need two M3 button head cap screws to secure the mount insert on your Garmin mount, but the length of the screws depends on the thickness of your Garmin mount, and if you have any additional mount attachment (like a GO-Pro mount) underneath that may further extend the thickness of the mount bed. What is very important is that the tip of the screw doesn't extend outside the heat set insert, as this will interfere (and potentially damage) the plastic mount of your bike computer. Two M3x6 screws will work for my Garmin bike mount (without additional attachments) that you can find here: [https://makerworld.com/en/models/1697972-canyon-out-front-bike-computer-mount](https://makerworld.com/en/models/1697972-canyon-out-front-bike-computer-mount)
- The dimensions of such mount inserts and screw hole size and distance between the screw holes are pretty standard, so the mount insert should work with more mounts.
