📏 Sizes and Printing
The standard rod length is 145 mm + cone/thread, perfectly suited for smaller printers such as the Bambu A1 Mini.
A long version (240 mm) is now available for larger printers (Bambu P, X or H series, Core XY machines, etc.).
⚠️ On the A1, avoid printing the longest rod — upper vibrations may occur. If you do, reduce print speed in the upper section.

🧱 Printing Tips
- Do not change the model orientation. You can rearrange parts on your build plate, but don’t rotate them.
- For convenience, mark your last build plate as “Your Set” (black active). Select any part, duplicate it as needed, and the copies will appear on this custom plate.
- Outer threads are reinforced using a height modifier (printed with 100 % infill) for durability — do not change these settings!
- Inner threads printed flat on the build plate use brim + supports. Remove supports carefully (needle-nose pliers work best).
→ Only then will the threads fit perfectly.
🧰 Assembly
When assembling for the first time, screw the parts together slowly — the threads will self-adjust and fit perfectly.
Tighten with care, not force: this is a precision plastic system, not metal.
Still, COMBIROD is surprisingly robust for most practical applications.
🧵 Recommended Materials
While it works fine with PLA, stronger filaments like PETG, PETG-CF, ASA, or ASA-CF are recommended for heavy-duty use.
Remember — it’s still plastic: handle threads gently and avoid over-tightening for maximum lifespan.
