For those who like magic tricks… here is a Split Card Trick!
This is a video of how it works:
This trick creates the illusion that a slotted poker card is being split in the middle, but it is then revealed that the poker card is still intact.
The model is printed in parts and then glued together (please check the assembly guides in the photo gallery).
Important Note: All the prints are designed for standard sized poker cards with the dimensions of 2.5 inches x 3.5 inches (63.5mm x 89mm).
UPDATE!
I have added new print profiles for partially assembled versions, which greatly reduces the overall number of assembly steps. Print this updated version if you prefer an easier and quicker assembly process.
Depending on your printer's print tolerances, if the parts fitment is tight, just slide the moving parts a few times to smooth out the sliding motion. Note that you will need to remove the supports inside the windows before assembly (just flex the parts a little to loosen the supports).

How does it work?
There are 2 identical poker cards, one of them is cut into 3 sections and displayed in front, while a duplicate poker card is slotted into the back.
When the middle section is slid to the side, the card behind is bent so that it is hidden from view, which creates the illusion of a split card. When the middle section is returned back into it's original position, the card behind is unbent, thereby looking intact.
Some sharp eyed audiences may notice that the card behind is slightly bent, so the savvy ones might probably figure out the trick. For best effect, you'll have to practice performing the trick smoothly and quickly to distract them from noticing the details.
I hope you'll find it fun to perform this trick for your friends and family!
