ESP32 E-Paper Display Dashboard for Home Assistant

A smart, low-power e-paper weather and calendar display based on ESPHome and ESP32 — perfect for your smart home wall or desk.

🌤️ Overview

This build connects an ESP32 microcontroller to a Waveshare 7.3" E-Paper (F) display.
It shows real-time weather data and calendar events from Home Assistant in a clean, colorful layout.
Thanks to deep sleep, it consumes almost no power and can run for weeks on a single charge.

⚠️ The Waveshare 7.3″ F requires a 5 V supply. Always connect grounds together.

⚙️ Setup Summary

1. Install ESPHome.
2. Clone the GitHub repository.
3. Add your Wi-Fi credentials and adjust Home Assistant entity IDs.
4. Flash your ESP32 using esphome run esp32-display.yaml.
5. Mount the display and enjoy your new paper-like dashboard!
