Modelo 3D Monstera Contemporary Large Planter por Delta no MakerWorld

Descrição

Designer Planter with Integrated Stand – High-Strength, Statement-Grade Plant Pot

Inner Dimensions: 200mm Diameter, 200mm Height

Overall Dimensions: 215mm Diameter, 263mm Height

Warning: This model will not scale. It's designed with tight tolerances and if you were to shrink it, it would not slot into each other upon assembly. If you've a size in mind, let me know and I'll make it when I'm next free.

I originally designed this planter as a one-off piece for my wife favourite plant and never intended to release it publicly — but after many compliments from friends, it seemed only right to share it with the MakerWorld community, even if only one person likes it as much as we do.

This is not your typical quick weekend print. It’s a large, detailed, purpose-built planter designed to house medium to large plants safely and beautifully. It uses a significant amount of filament because it’s engineered for strength and long-term durability, not minimal material use. Unless you’re confident in tweaking slicer settings for structural integrity, I’d strongly recommend printing it as-is — the profiles are dialed in with strength, longevity in mind.

The design consists of three main components:

  • Upper main planter – ribbed, architectural body with generous volume for healthy root growth.
  • Lower drip tray – captures excess water, provides separation and disperses the weight of the above.
  • Integrated feet – lifts the planter visually and physically, designed for strength and simplicity rather than modularity.

On that (foot) note: I wasn’t planning in making a modular, screw-together kit. There are no dowels, threaded inserts, or glued joints — just straightforward, robust design. My priority was strength, longevity, and a visibly seamless finish, and this build delivers all three at the expense of filament.

The planter can be used with or without a standard nursery pot, but one isn’t necessary. It’s built to function as a standalone vessel.

You’ll also notice I’ve deliberately not made this a “self-watering” planter. In my view, almost all 3D-printed self-watering systems are fundamentally flawed — they’re a one-size-fits-all gimmick that often does more harm than good. Plant hydration is a species and size-specific science, and trying to generalise it usually ends with root rot.

However, if you’d like to integrate a wick-based system for your specific plant type, I’m happy to help. Just reach out and I can add custom drainage or wick holes to suit your needs properly.

This planter was designed with care, intention, and no compromises — a functional design piece that’s as strong and reliable as it is visually striking.
