Filament runout sensor that can be used with printers without a built-in one. Utilizes an inexpensive micro switch.

There are two versions included:

• Filament runout sensor without legs, intended to be used independently, installed somewhere before the hot end
• Filament runout sensor with legs, intended to be used with Top Runout Mount

Additional parts needed:

• Piece of 4mm OD 2mm ID PTFT Tubing
• Micro switch with a roller
• Thin electrical wiring

• Small screws, 2 pcs 

  

Assembly instructions:

• Cut a  piece of PTFT tube to length and add a cutout according to the picture

  

• Solder the electrical wires to the switch and thread them through the opening in the base

• Put the PTFE tube and the switch into the base

  

• Fasten the lid using two screws
