Modular 3D Chessboard (360×360×13.5mm)

⚠️ Attention: Before printing the chessboard, download and print my Tolerance Bar model! Print it first to verify your printer’s tolerance and ensure the magnet will fit snugly inside the hole.
📐 General Dimensions
- Total assembled size: 360 × 360 × 13.5 mm
- The chessboard is divided into 4 modular parts, making it easier to print, transport, and assemble.
- Designed entirely from scratch in Fusion 360, every detail was carefully planned to combine functionality, printability, and aesthetics.
🧲 Magnet System
- Precision holes designed for 6 × 3 mm magnets.
- Check magnet polarity before gluing to ensure correct attraction between parts.
- Total required: 16 magnets (4 per corner).
📊 Tolerance Bar
⚠️ Attention: Before printing the chessboard, download and print my Tolerance Bar model!
This step is essential to find the correct hole size so your magnets fit perfectly without problems.
The tolerance bar includes:
- Filament usage: ~4 g
- Print time: ~15 minutes (on Bambu Lab P1S)
- Hole sizes: 6.05 mm to 6.40 mm (steps of 0.05 mm)
- Important: slice without rotating the model, to maintain test accuracy.
- Use the same filament intended for the chessboard, since tolerance may vary depending on the brand, color, or type of filament.
👉 After printing, test the fit and note the best size.
👉 Select the chessboard profile that matches this measurement.
