Hello.
This is a nightlight lantern I have been working on recently. I really enjoy lithophanes but have been unable to find a way to display them in a way that I feel is unique. I also wanted a way that I could change the photos out without having to make a whole new lantern. I personally am not a fan of the lithophanes through Bambu maker labs unless I am doing a color lithophane. So, I decided to make my own. There are still ways in which this could be customized or improved upon, but this is what I settled at. I hope you like it. I am open to constructive criticism and will do whatever I can to help.
I use www.itslitho.com for most of my lithophanes and have included a screen shot of the settings that I use specifically for this model.
For my light source I use “6-foot accessory lights”. These can be found year-round at craft stores or on Amazon for less than $3 each. I prefer these for the simplicity of them. They come with a toggle switch on the cord that plugs in directly to your outlet. No need for soldering LED strip lights and getting all of the extra components to plug in to the wall. If you keep an eye out after Christmas time, you can generally find these on sale for approximately $1.00 each at Walmart near the little Christmas villages. Here is the link to the exact ones I buy when ordering through Amazon as well: Amazon.com: 24 Packs Accessory Cord with LED Light Bulb, 6 Ft Warm Light Accessory Cord Kit (White) : Tools & Home Improvement
If you enjoy this model, please help me out by giving me a boost. I do not have a Patreon, or any other source of fund collecting and would like my model to remain free to others. You are welcome to print and sell this model as you see fit. In my local market, I easily sell this for $60 including the 4 custom lithophanes for the customer. Enjoy!
