3D Printed Mini Safe with Gear Locking Mechanism

This is a fully 3D-printed mini safe designed in Fusion360. It features a mechanical gear-based locking system that makes it both fun to use and an excellent print project for anyone interested in mechanical design.

Features

            •           All parts 3D printed – no special hardware required other than small magnets.

            •           Gear locking mechanism – rotating gears connect to lock/unlock the door.

            •           Compact size – perfect for storing small valuables, trinkets, or just as a desk conversation piece.

            •           Magnetic latch – requires 6× 3×1 mm magnets for smooth operation and secure closure.

            •           No glue needed – parts are designed to snap/fit together (depending on print accuracy).

Printing & Assembly

            •           Print all parts with standard PLA (or your filament of choice).

            •           Recommended layer height: 0.2 mm for good detail.

            •           Minimal supports required (depending on orientation).

            •           After printing, insert the 6 magnets into the designated slots.

            •           Assemble gears and hinges, then snap the door onto the main body.

Notes

            •           This project is intended as a fun and educational build, not as a security device.

            •           You can experiment with different colors for the gears, knob, and body for a more playful or realistic safe look.
