Need to mount a shelf, support a worktop, or build a strong 90° corner for your DIY furniture?
This parametric shelf bracket was born out of a real need — I had to mount shelves securely, and I couldn’t find a bracket that met my standards.
So I built this OpenSCAD project to be fully customizable, offering total control over dimensions, mounting holes, reinforcements... and more.

📐 Fully customizable parameters (OpenSCAD)
All parameters can be tweaked via the OpenSCAD customizer or by editing the code.

- Bracket shape → triangular or L_shaped
- Wall projection → 20–150 mm
- Bracket width → 15–80 mm
- Wall height → 30–120 mm
🧱 Thicknesses
- Wall thickness → 3–15 mm
- Shelf thickness → 3–15 mm
🔩 Screw clearance
- Material under wall screw head → 0–10 mm
- Material under shelf screw head → 0–8 mm
🧱 Wall mounting (optional)
- Wall mounting holes can be enabled
- Hole count → 1–6
- Shaft diameter → 3–12 mm
- Head diameter → 6–20 mm
- Conical head clearance → optional, 82° to 120°, adjustable depth
🪵 Shelf mounting (optional)
- Shelf mounting holes can be enabled
- Hole count → 0–4
- Shaft diameter → 3–8 mm
- Head diameter → 5–15 mm
- Edge distance → 5–20 mm
- Conical head clearance → optional, 82° to 120°, adjustable depth
🦾 Reinforcement Ribs (optional)
- Ribs can be added to increase structural strength
- Rib count → 0–5
- Rib thickness → 2–20 mm
- Tapered? → yes/no, adjustable with ratio 0 to 0.9
- Ribs always reach the full height of the bracket
🧱 3D Printing Tips
🟧 L-shaped version
- PETG, ASA or ABS recommended for structural or hot environments
- Increase WALL_THICKNESS and SHELF_THICKNESS for extra rigidity
- Enable reinforcement ribs for greater strength
- Use at least 3 walls to avoid lateral delamination
- Infill: 40–60%, best with gyroid or cubic patterns
🟩 Triangular version
- Very strong even with PLA and standard settings
- Ideal for indoor use and light to medium loads
- Infill: 30–40% (20% may be enough for light-duty)
- Ribs are optional but helpful
⚙️ General print settings
- Layer height: 0.2 mm (or 0.28 mm for faster prints)
- Wall count: 3+
- Infill pattern: Gyroid, Cubic, Grid, Lines
- Materials: PLA, PETG, ASA, ABS depending on usage
