Descrição
The popular modular 1-inch ball mount system offers exceptional versatility, allowing users to mix and match arms, bases, and device holders for nearly any mounting scenario—from desktops to vehicles to industrial rigs. The compact ball-and-socket design provides secure articulation with minimal footprint, making it ideal for dynamic setups that demand both adjustability and stability.
This model is part of that ecosystem. It is designed to sit firmly on your desk, and allow you to attach whatever modular parts you like. You can make the perfect mounting system that is customized for you.
The essence of the model is one part: A base that sits flat on your desk, with a 1 inch ball attached. The base is about 100 mm by 102 mm. That should be enough to keep your mount from tipping over, as long as you don't make it too tall.
Any arms, connectors or device holders that use a 1 inch ball can be attached (RAM compatible).
For the sake of convenience, the print profile includes a separate plate for a 50 mm socket arm, and a star knob (for tightening). You can attach anything else with a 1 inch ball by using this small socket arm. For example, you could attach my Phone Holder Clamp with 1 Inch Ball.
There are many designs available on Makerworld that use this system. One of my favorites is this Mounting System from Simple 3D Printing. It includes almost any part you would need.
The 50 mm socket arm that I am including comes from Simple 3D Printing's system. The two halves of the socket arm need one M5 nut and bolt (40 mm in length). The star knob makes tightening and loosening easier.
