AMS friendly.

This adapter attaches to an empty spool and holds the filament to be re-spooled.

Filament fits snug in the swing arm and holds tight enough for a hands-free start of the first few layers.

When the filament runs out, it releases straight, without any bends or kinks.

Prevents jamming or scratching the PTFE tubing.

Use a short piece of PETG or ABS filament for the hinge pin.

Use #6 x ½" or 3mm x 12mm wood screws to attach to the spool. Be sure to attach in the center so the filament tail is aligned with the AMS.

Can also be glued.

I also have an adapter that fits the Bambu spools without needing screws.
