Bloom: DIY Sunset Lamp – A glowing mood lamp you can play with. Swap, paint, and mix its translucent lenses to create endless atmospheres—while casually learning a bit of optics along the way. 

At its core is a simple LED lamp base, designed to be used with the Lamp Kit 001, but the real magic lies in its interchangeable lenses, made with translucent PETG. Each one transforms the vibe: warm sunset tones, dreamy gradients, or vibrant bursts of color.

What makes Bloom special is its playful, DIY spirit. You can swap, customize, and even paint the lenses using a sharpie or marker pen, turning light into your own canvas. And as you experiment, you’re not just creating moods—you’re also discovering how light, color, and optics interact in a hands-on way.

So far, I created two types of lenses, one inspired by a Fresnel lens, and other a wavy lens, inspired in the own lamp. Having tried only the clear and the blue translucent filament colors, I can't wait to see your take at the lenses, you could even create multi colored lenses, with an AMS.

NOTE: its recommended to print the lenses with a 0.8 nozzle as it will give the best results. Even though the effects of petg are limited and light will be only slightly affected by the lenses, don't expect a laser beam! But it still will be fun to play around with the colors :)
