🌀 Easy Respool Starter – Make Respooling Filament Effortless!

I designed this Easy Respool Starter to make rewinding filament spools as easy, fast, and safe as possible.

🔹 Key Features:

• Rotation guides → engraved arrows clearly show the correct direction to wind the spool, preventing accidental unwinding.
• Tight fit → engineered with a very snug tolerance to ensure the spool stays securely in place during printing, both when using the AMS or manually.
• Avoid to apply tape
• Self-locking function → the pressure between the two discs keeps the spool stable and prevents any unwanted movement.
• NFC tag slot → a small dedicated space to insert the NFC tag of the filament being rewound, making it easy to organize and identify.
• Dual winding option → two engraved notches allow you to lock the filament and choose your preferred winding direction.
• Durable material → printed in grey ASA, chosen for its strength, heat resistance, and dimensional stability.

🔹 How to install

Step 1: Twist-open the reusable spool

Step 2: Please locate the locator, a tiny block on the wide piece and insert the Respool Buddy (eventually also insert the NFC as well)

Step 2: Here must be locked the tip of the filament : make a mark on the filament with a permanent marker: MAX 12mm is the length that the filament blocker can support !





Step 3: Place the other part of the roll, the narrower one, on top and insert the marked tip of the filament in the hole CONSIDERING THE ROTATION OF THE RESPOOLING DIRECTION: SEE THE ARROWS!







Step 4: Once it is pushed firmly into the wide piece, rotate the narrow piece clockwise until it slides into place and locks.

Step 4: START TO RESPOOL : DON'T USE THE DRILL FOR THE FIRST FEW TURNS!
